Job Vacancy: Job title: Operations/Communications Officer

Job description: Job Description1. Carry out and implement the plan and operational strategy developed and agreed upon with the Operations manager.2. Provide support, guidance and advice to Award leaders in various locations to ensure efficient delivery of the Award and achievement of key targets.3. Promote and grow the reach of the Award to more groups of young people.4. Maintain relationships with existing licensed Award Centres.5. Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the organisation’s mission and vision.6. Support and promote organization goals, including message development, social media and website content creation and media outreach and developing a calendar of assigned projects and deadlines.7. Identify target audiences and create strategies to effectively engage them and create campaigns.8. Ensure digital marketing content aligns with our brand’s identity and message, and assist with marketing campaigns as needed.9. Develop and disseminate public relations materials that increase our visibility among stakeholders and lawmakers. (e,g: Newsletters)10. Marketing The International Award for Young People Nigeria to new participants and recruiting new Award Leaders, taking responsibility for the expansion of the programme across allocated areas of the country. Delivery of training both within specific regional areas and on a national basis including supporting the development of young leaders and Volunteer ManagementQualifications

  • Candidate should have at least a Bachelor’s degree or HND in communications, public relations, or related fields.
  • At least two to three years experience in operations management and communications, preferably in a non-profit or youth development organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, content creation and content management systems. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have experience in social media marketing and proven experience with various social media platforms.
  • Passion for youth development and working with young people.
