JOB DESRIPTION

Our Client, a reputable Hotel located in lagos requires for immediate employment the service of a well experience and competent Hotel Manager to oversee the general operation of the Hotel and offer advisory to the Management for better productivity.

KEY RESPONBILITIES

Management

Advertisement
  • Creates and implements effective business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with the hotel owner’s overall mission, vision, and values
  • Achieves the hotel’s profit, customer service and revenue goals by the operation of the hotel
  • Oversee the operation of the hotel and ensure the hotel’s profit, customer service and revenue goals are met
  • Ensure all operations employees adhere to brand standards in operations and appearance
  • Creates roster for front office staff and approve any changes
  • Create a positive work environment for employees to thrive and communicate with team and set positive review targets

Operations

  • Meet and greet VIP clients and escort them to their rooms
  • Ensure certain guests (such as disabled people, elderly, children & VIPs) receive personalized service
  • Assist on the front desk when short staffed or during staff break
  • Check in and check out guests
  • Respond to guest enquiries via email and over the phone
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities

Guest Relations

  • Generate innovative ideas to improve customer experience
  • Print out personalized welcome letters to be delivered to rooms by porter

Sales & Marketing

  • Create pricing strategies and competition analysis in conjunction with Sales manager
  • Analyze sales reports and takes actions to improve results as appropriate
  • Maximize revenue by developing and implementing a sales and marketing plan in collaboration with sales manager
  • Seeks opportunities to publicize the hotel through development and implementation of a public relations strategy and by building a network within the community
  • Work with sales manager to create promos, offers and packages based on market demand
  • Manage hotel’s online presence

Finance

  • Develop annual budget in collaboration with the senior management team
  • Responsible for tracking hotel revenue, managing budgets and monitoring expenses
  • Analyze and interpret financial information and monitor sales and profits
  • Ensure all paymaster accounts are closed and all debts recovered by Sales executive
  • Ensure all credit card procedures are applied across the departments
  • Approves and sign for allowances, rebates etc., as required by Front Office Receptionist.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience, preferably in the hospitality or travel industries
  • 1-3 Years management work experience in hospitality or travel
  • Experience with hotel Property Management Software (PMS) 
  • Understanding of how OTAs operate e.g. Booking.com, Expedia & TripAdvisor 

Industry standard grooming with good hygiene * Professional attire at all times and must represent the Villa Monument Brand Professionally

  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standardsStrong Product knowledge
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
