Job description: Job Description:About Company: Our client is one of the leading Financial Technology companies in Africa that is enabling Africa’s commerce through its robust digital payment solutions for small, mid-size, and enterprise businesses with a presence in several African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya.Job Summary: Our Client is seeking to hire a Head of Product who will be responsible for driving product initiatives from inception through to execution.The ideal candidate will work closely with Product managers, Product designers, Software engineers, Product analysts, and other cross-functional team members within the organization to ensure that the Company’s products amaze and delight its users.Key Responsibilities:Own delivery of product initiatives and releases.Develop, prepare and support of product roadmap.Develop customer empathy in multiple markets to inform your road map, balancing current and future needs.Write user narratives to imagine the experience a customer may have.Define, document, and communicate objectives, requirements and constraints for product initiatives and releases.Collaborate with technical team and designers to edit the service and product.Communicate development status and document progress toward milestones.Prioritize and sequence product initiatives against a mandate.Perform market research and analysis.Represent the team with cross-functional partners and senior company leaders in order to align resources and prioritization.Assist in the completion of business, functional and technical documentation.Conduct user acceptance testing.Work with compliance team to ensure all products are meeting standards.Work with different teams to leverage the voice of the customer feedback for development requirements.Works with Business manager leaders to establish key performance indicators to track product value.Works with operations to define and track Operational Metrics.Support the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.Assist and drive future platform development and planning.RequirementsKey Requirements:First degree in any related field.7+ years of product management experience or equivalent.A track record of shipping and iterating on successful products with cross-functional teams.Prior experience building complex full-stack products, ideally in mobile.Prior experience as an engineer or in the ecommerce/retail or payments industry is a plus.Great interpersonal and communication skills that shine when you’re talking with a customer or engaging a cross-functional audience.Demonstrated leadership, the ability to drive product strategy and work well with engineers and designers.An analytical and metrics driven work style that leverages data to make informed decisions.BenefitsCompensation – Highly competitive + other interesting benefits.
