Kantar’s Worldpanel division is searching for a dynamic, collaborative and experienced FMCG Account Manager to join our teams. Based in Lagos, Nigeria – this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of our exciting vision for the future!

We’re looking for an inspiring and confident candidate, who is able to inspire, challenge, influence and shape client briefs – by being collaborative, insightful and extremely passionate about generating insights through Shoppers’ data.
If you’re experienced in the FMCG industry and are used to building and managing strong and trusting relationships with clients based on impactful data insights; as well as undertaking tasks with an enthusiastic, positive can-do attitude and be able to lead a team and manage multiple stakeholders and projects at the same time – then this is the right role for you!
This FMCG Account Manager role will be leading a team of Client Executives, while managing and supporting several key accounts of FMCG clients that are currently part of our local Client Service Team’s portfolio.
This position will involve a high level of client interaction and relationship management, as well as designing and delivering impactful projects for a wide range of contacts and business needs. We expect you to be able to drive client impact by maximizing the use of purchase panel insight, influence an audience and collaborate internally and externally to grow and develop successful relationships.

Key outcomes
- Be responsible for managing your own day-to-day workload on the area of the business you have responsibility for and establishing priorities with the client as needed – we expect you to anticipate client demands and proactively find solutions, rather than just answering requests.
- Deliver presentations to clients that meet the objectives of the clients’ briefs, which secure production and interpretation of data insights that highlight relevant patterns, and implications to their businesses as you’ll offer actionable recommendations.
- Lead a team of Client Executives – where you’ll be expected to set goals and work priorities for the team, as well as provide regular constructive feedback to your team members, and encourage a culture of learning and constant growth.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with all main client decision makers/budget holders, developing the application of consumer panel as a solution to answer business questions to ensure a strong influence on client thinking.
- Develop opportunities to grow revenue for the team with a focus on widening our network, identifying client issues, and co-creating innovating solutions with our data.
- Manage appropriate inductions and training programmes with clients.
- Submit (or advise on) monthly revenue forecasts whilst maintaining and building a pipeline of proposals.
- Develop a good knowledge of category and brand awareness and utilise it in identifying and explaining key influences on market performance.
- Develop full knowledge of basic and advanced Powerview analysis – so that you’ll be able to confidently use advanced features such as level groups, distributions, and others.
Key Capabilities
Your background will ideally look like this…
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Management, Sociology, Econometrics or equivalent fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous professional experience in Client Management and/or Market Research roles (preferably in the FMCG industry) with a proven record on building successful relationships with clients.
- Holds previous experience in team management with a demonstrate evidence of leadership skills and ability to motivate others.
- Full business proficiency in English (C1 Level Minimum).
- Proven business experience with MS Excel (e.g., Advanced Formulas; Pivot Tables) and MS Power Point.
- Possesses strong verbal and visual presentation skills with the ability to articulate in a confident and composed manner insightful and impactful presentations.
- Experience delivering business analysis-based consulting projects with the ability to provide value added client insights, and present complex data clearly and incisively.

The following, although not mandatory, will be appreciated…
- Previous working experience in the FMCG industry.
- Familiarity with fundamental statistical concepts and analysis.
- Experience working with shoppers’ data and/or consumer panel’s data and insights.
- Experience on working with complex Data Sets (preferable experience with consumer panels both on Usage and Purchase), by showcasing effectiveness in analysing, interpreting and articulating data with business implications.
- Previous experience working within a multicultural business environment and developing solid working relationships with clients and colleagues from different countries and cultures.
