Eligibility criteria:

– Candidates should be local Nigerian or any other African nationality working currently in Lagos Nigeria.

– Candidates currently working outside Nigeria will not be preferred.

– Good Knowledge of Nigerian Labour & Employment Laws and their application in various contexts, is essential.

– Must have strong exposure to various change management projects, business transformation, Organisational Development, Workforce optimisation, Balance Scorecard implementation, HRBP.

– Extensive work experience of working closely with the Sr Stakeholder Management & Chairman.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function for all of its subsidiaries and to play a vital role in developing and implementing HR strategies and programs to support the overall goals and objectives of the company. The HR Director provides strategic leadership and guidance to the HR department and collaborates with senior management to drive a positive work culture, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with employment laws, and regulations and overall ensure efficiency and business excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

– Develop and align HR strategies for the Group companies to achieve overall goals and objectives.

– Identify HR challenges, and opportunities and propose innovative solutions to drive organizational effectiveness.

HR Policy and Compliance:

– Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure legal compliance and best practices.

– Stay updated with employment laws and regulations, and make recommendations for policy revisions as needed.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

– Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, candidate screening, interviews, and offer negotiations.

– Develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

– Create and implement employee onboarding and orientation programs in line with the company’s core values.

Employee Relations:

– Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on a wide range of HR matters.

– Handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and recommend appropriate actions.

– Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive work environment and employee engagement.

Performance Management:

– Develop and implement performance management programs, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback processes.

– Provide guidance and support to managers in effectively managing employee performance and development.

Compensation and Benefits:

– Oversee the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs.

– Conduct salary benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitiveness in the market.

– Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to compensation and benefits.

Training and Development:

– Identify training needs and develop strategies to enhance employee skills and competencies.

– Collaborate with managers to create and implement employee development plans.

– Organize and facilitate training programs and workshops.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

– Develop and analyze HR metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.

– Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Employee Health and Safety:

– Oversee the implementation of health and safety programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

– Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Qualification & Experiences required:

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

– Master’s in Business Administration and other professional courses in HR is an added advantage.

– 5 – 8 years of proven experience as an HR Director or in a similar senior-level HR role.

– Age bracket between 35 – 45 years regardless the gender.

– The ideal candidate must have worked in a Group firm capacity.

– In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

– Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and programs.

– Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

– Strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

– Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR-related software.

Skills Sets Preferred:

Group HR Policies, Business Transformation, Change Management, End to End Employee Life Cycle Management, Labour Management, Talent Management, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits Management, Industrial Relations, Labour Legislations, Statutory & Legal Compliances related to HR activities, Leadership Activities, Organisational Development, Strategical decision, Balance Score Card, Stake Holder Management, Business Process Reengineering, etc.

Salary Package: As per market and industry standards with car facility, annual bonus based on performance.
