Our Client is a leading music streaming platform in Africa is seeking a highly skilled and creative Manager of Content Creation and Social Media Management to join thier dynamic marketing team.

Job Purpose

As the social Media Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation of engaging and compelling content and managing our social media presence across various platforms. Key focus is ensuring the delivery of high-quality content and executing effective social media strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of content marketing and social media best practices.

Content Creation:

● Develop and implement a comprehensive content creation strategy aligned with the company’s goals, brand voice, and target audience.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, product, and sales, to align content strategies with overall marketing initiatives and product launches.

● Oversee the creation of various types of content, including blog posts, articles, case studies, videos, infographics, and more, ensuring high quality, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.

● Conduct thorough research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices to develop innovative content ideas that resonate with the target audience.

● Develop and maintain an editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent and timely delivery of content across different channels and platforms.

● Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external influencers to gather insights and contributions for content creation.

● Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, style, and tone, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.

● Track content performance using analytics tools, analyze metrics, and provide regular reports to assess the impact of content marketing efforts and identify areas for improvement.

Social Media Management:

● Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand visibility, engage the target audience, and drive user acquisition.

● Manage the company’s presence on social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

● Create, curate, and schedule engaging and shareable social media content, including posts, graphics, videos, and other formats, aligned with brand guidelines and platform best practices.

● Monitor social media trends, algorithm updates, and industry shifts to adapt strategies, leverage new features, and maximize engagement opportunities.

● Interact and engage with the online community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social media campaigns with marketing initiatives, product launches, and promotions.

● Monitor social media analytics and generate reports on key metrics, such as reach, engagement, conversion rates, and customer feedback, to evaluate the effectiveness of social media efforts and make data-driven recommendations.

Campaign Planning and Execution:

● Develop and execute social media campaigns, contests, and promotions to drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and artist relations, to align social media efforts with broader company objectives.

● Track and report on the performance of social media campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. User Retention and Activation.

● Design and execute online initiatives to increase user retention, including onboarding programs, loyalty programs, and personalized recommendations.

● Monitor user behavior and identify potential churn risks, developing strategies to mitigate churn and improve user retention rates.

● Collaborate with the product team to optimize user onboarding processes and ensure a seamless user experience.

● Develop and implement activation campaigns to encourage new users to explore and utilize the platform’s features.

User Feedback and Insights:

● Monitor user feedback, comments, and reviews across social media channels, and address concerns or issues promptly.

● Gather and analyze user insights, preferences, and behaviors to contribute to product improvement and marketing strategies.

Requirements

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications,

● 3 years of experience in content creation and social media management, with a proven track record of delivering successful content and social media campaigns.

● Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt writing style for different platforms and audiences.

● Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools to create visually appealing and engaging social media content.

● Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, best practices, and trends.

● Experience in developing and executing social media advertising campaigns across various platforms.

● Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and analytics tools to measure content and social media performance and make data-driven decisions.

● Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

● A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and the ability to think strategically about content creation and social media engagement.

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
