Our client is an operational non profit organization with mission to strengthen child protection and prevent child sexual abuse. They currently have an opening for a Centre Coordinator in Abuja.

Job Overview

The Centre Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of all team members working within or from Abuja while also being responsible for managing all aspects of running the Centre to ensure all clients and non-offending families are supported with legal, psychosocial, medical and referral services.

The Centre Coordinator will provide leadership and coordination in Abuja and report directly to the CEO.

Job Responsibilities:

People and Administration

● Ensure that effective systems are in place for workload allocation and management, the application of the CYF procedures, policies, strategies, and objectives, including those relating to equality, supervision and appraisal and all aspects of their performance, personal development, health and welfare.

● Coordinate the Case Management Team to ensure that they support children (abused) and their non-offending families in line with the case management plan.

● Manage the CYF case management software for the Abuja team.

● Ensure ongoing implementation of the organization’s policies and strategic plans for your team.

● Responsible for the seamless operation of the Centre

● Hire, train, and manage a team of assistants and volunteers when needed.

● Checkmate the efficient use of the Foundation’s properties and office supplies. Supervise the reordering process when necessary.

Relationship Building

● Support and retain existing relationships with partners and build new relationships that will be beneficial to the organization

● Build new and maintain existing relationships with the civil society network and work towards

Programs/Project and Grants Support

● Provide strategic guidance to the programs department while contributing to program context and needs.

● Monitor program activities regularly and conduct an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework.

● Organize and coordinate Radio, TV, and other related activities to market the conference where necessary

● Seek grant opportunities, write and follow up on grant proposals and assist in managing fundraising programs.

Finance Management

● Manage a designated budget (as required) and ensure that the CYF achieves value for money in all circumstances through monitoring and controlling expenditures and the early identification of any financial irregularity.

● Develop and maintain mechanisms for an appropriate fiscal accountability system, grant administration/management and community intervention.

Quality Assurance

● Monitor and evaluate standards for individuals, team performance and service quality so that the client and Centre requirements are met, and the highest standards are maintained.

Requirements and Qualification

● A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or other related field.

● At least 2-3 years experience as a Center Coordinator/Operations/Administrative Manager.

● In-depth knowledge of industry laws.

● Strong organizational, problem solving and time-management skills are highly required.

● Excellent coordination skills.

● Attention to detail.

● Good reporting skills

● Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.

● Strong interpersonal skills.
