Position : Business/Project Officer Nigeria
Job description
- Assist in the management of day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of NGELE-Nigeria.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of research projects, including conducting literature reviews, developing research instruments, and collecting and analyzing data.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of research projects.
- Collect, organize, and manage research data, including inputting data into databases and verifying its accuracy.
- Support the development of study protocols, applications for ethical approvals, and research permits within the country.
- Establish coordinated data collection processes and standards for the entire project to meet monitoring, evaluation, and reporting needs.
- Support the CEO and Country Manager in identifying new opportunities, scoping, developing, and managing partner relations.
- Work closely with local partner organizations, serving as the key communicator and coordinator between partners.
- Identify sources of consultancies, prepare research proposals, and submit applications.
- Undertake any other related duties as requested from time to time.

Requirements
- At least a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Economics /Rural economics/Development economics or any equivalent degree
- At least 4 years of experience (including internships) with a Bachelor degree, and at least 2 years of experience with a Master Degree
- Experience in Consulting, Research and/or Training Institutions, Development Projects or Agencies
- Be under 32 years old
- Dynamic and ability to work under pressure in a start-up type environment
- Capacity and ability to take initiatives and work independently under limited supervision
- Knowledge of data collection, data analysis and related software tools will be considered as an asset.
- Knowledge of french (basic level) will be considered an asset.
