Job Overview
Our Client is looking for a Business Development Officer, Merchant Acquiring who’ll be responsible for developing strong customer relationships in order to generate high volume of prospective merchants, partners and other stakeholders and will be their point person, providing
guidance for issues directly affecting valued customers.
Job Description
- Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether merchants are satisfied with Offline
products and services.
- Providing insight into product development and competitive positioning.
- Analyzing financial data and developing effective strategies to reduce business costs and
increase revenue and profits.
- Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborating with executives to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue
new business opportunities.
- Research the market for identifying new business opportunities.
- Explain to prospective merchants about the advantages of the products or services offered
and follow up with them in order to close the business deals.
- Respond to the merchant queries regarding the products in a timely fashion.
- Develop business proposals for new and existing merchants.
- Develop creative strategies to retain the merchants including interviewing them to take their
feedback and incorporate it into the product roadmap
- Develop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, marketing activities,
prospective clients and industry trends.
- Maintain a knowledge repository of clients, referrals, RFPs, prospects and presentations.
- Manage merchant calls and appointments effectively for new opportunities.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in a related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in business development and sales
- A professional, confident and collaborative personality; an adept client relationship manager,
capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the
organization
- Prior experience in enterprise level client-facing work
- Strong product sense and energized by the challenge of solving difficult user related problems
- Ability to lead complex integration conversations in a highly consultative and proactive
manner
- Curiosity mindset and willingness to continually learn and improve
- A passion for growing your career in a fintech sales role
- In depth understanding of sales systems to support successful sales delivery
- Good knowledge of Fintech, finance and digital banking
- Efficient multi-tasker and ability to work & deliver under pressure
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent people and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and can easily adapt to change
- Ability to influence others and create a sense of urgency for your cause
