Sun King’s Finance provides financial expertise to the distribution partnerships (B2B) and direct-to-consumer (B2C) sales channels as well as the financial operations of the company overall.The Finance team plays a critical role in managing revenue and accounting for the company’s pay-as-you-go (PAYG) direct solar financing and wholesale distribution businesses; in ensuring compliance with local tax and reporting regulations; and in reporting to investors and servicing the company’s financing and debt obligations.About the role
We are looking for an Associate Manager, Finance to join its Finance team in Nigeria. The Associate Manager, Finance will work closely with the Finance team in Nigeria to ensure the organization has adequate human capacity to cater for the financial books and record (account payables and receivables) in the region.What you would be expected to do

• Assist statutory audit exercises, effectively addressing audit queries and ensuring timely closure within statutory deadlines.
• Reconciliation & monitoring of monthly sales booking & COGS per SKU, highlighting variance and guiding the correction of the same.
• Review General Ledger entries after MEC, highlight correction entries required (if any) and suggest improvements where necessary.
• General P & L reconciliation vis-à-vis internal management reporting ensuring accuracy and reporting alignment.
• Preparation of monthly P/L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement for Management Reporting.
• Assist global financial reporting, providing trend and variance analysis.
• Monthly review of Inventory movement into goods received and their respective landing costs, sales and warranty. consumptions, and other movements due to adjustments etc.
• Review foreign currency transactions and calculations of realized & unrealized exchange loss for the financial year.
• Review the preparation and booking of standard warranty.
• Review month end closing activities of associates such as bank reconciliation, monthly provisions etc.

You might be a strong candidate if you:

• Have a degree in Finance, Accounting or any related other related field. ACA/ACCA Qualification is preferred.
• Have at least 5 years’ hands on accounting/finance experience.
• Have at least 3 years experience in Financial reporting & Analysis.
• Be very good with numbers and excellent attention to details.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Good organizational and project management skills.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
