Role Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Officer who will be responsible for the day-to day management of financial transactions and procedures. You will take charge of the financial health of the company by administering accounting operations to meet legal/regulatory requirements.

We expect you to be familiar with audits and budget preparations.

You will actively participate in the management of our accounting activities, including bank reconciliations. You should have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.

Ultimately, you should have an in-depth understanding of accounting principles, especially those applicable in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

1. Reconciliation and posting of daily transactions

2. Bank reconciliation

3. Maintaining bank relationships

4. Support the Finance Lead in the preparation of Management Account

5. Monthly filing of tax returns (PAYE, WHT, VAT)

6. Maintaining the fixed asset register

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ICAN/ACCA certification would be an added advantage)
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures/regulations
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
  • Experience with Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
