Job Title: Auto Spare Part Manager
Location: Ajah/Sangotedo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
- Achieving spare part department KPI’s.
- Ordering spare parts in advance to avoid spare part deficiencies.
- Source new certified suppliers/vendors that are cheaper with better quality parts (OEM and Grade A certified used parts) with part catalogue interpretation proficiency to improve efficiency in line with Kaizen Spirit.
- Handling and managing internal customer complaints (front office officers and service managers) and issues on spare parts in a timely manner.
- Developing workable models to increase rate of speedy delivery of estimates to customers.
- Making a list of the parts that need to be purchased consistently.
- Developing workable models to eliminate supply of wrong or failed spare parts to the workshop.
- Supervising and monitoring shipment issues of spare parts ordered.
- Developing workable models to eliminate overpriced estimation to customers.
- Looking out for new suppliers offering better quality products and better prices across Strongmas brand focus.
- Developing workable models to eliminate return jobs due to part failure.
- Providing training sessions to the new team members.
- Resolving any inconsistencies for all purchase orders on spare parts.
- Maintaining a strong relationship with spare part vendors and suppliers.
- Preparing Daily, Weekly and Monthly spare part sales reports.
- Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the company.
- Ordering parts that meet the cost and quality standards of the company.
- Employ strong negotiation and communication skills to secure the most competitive price for replacement parts that can yield a profitable ROI when used for repairs or retail sales.
- Managing and monitoring spare parts inventory levels closely for auto repair and sales needs without delay based on projected demand and matching cost targets
- Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Pricing spare parts to maintain profitability.
- Assisting the spare parts store to receive spare parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labelling them.
- Overseeing special spare part orders.
- Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs in line with JUST- IN- TIME Philosophy.
- Hiring, supervising, and training spare parts department staff members
- Other tasks as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years experience.
