Jigawa Assembly passes N44.7bn supplementary bill

Jigawa State House of Assembly has approved and passed a supplementary bill of N44.7bn into law.

The approval was sequel to the third reading of the bill, shortly after adopting the report presented by the Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Ibrahim Hamza Adamu, at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin.

Newspot reported that Governor Umar Namadi forwarded the supplementary appropriation bill of N44.7bn to the state assembly on Tuesday, 22nd June 2023.

The supplementary budget is meant to fund some critical projects and activities of the government.

Majority leader, Lawan Muhammad Dansure moved a motion for the third reading of the budget and urged the other members to consider the budget and fast-track the completion of viable projects in the state.
