The management of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has urged all staff members to either update their details (for existing staff) or register (for new staff) in preparation for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) processes. This initiative aligns with the Board’s commitment to enhancing security measures that promote transparency and accountability throughout the examination process, thereby preventing any breaches of protocol by candidates or examination officials, including JAMB staff.
The procedure for updating or registering on the Board’s Intranet has been communicated to all departments and outstation offices. Staff are required to complete this update or registration by the end of this week. To participate in the Board’s activities, all officials must provide their details, including their National Identification Number (NIN), to ensure the integrity of this critical exercise.
This essential process is part of the preparations for the upcoming 2025 UTME/DE, which is set to commence shortly. Given the high stakes involved, the security of this examination is paramount, necessitating stringent measures to verify the identities of all personnel involved in its administration. Staff members who have not yet obtained their NIN are strongly encouraged to do so immediately, as it is required to create their profiles.
As a reminder, JAMB conducts the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), a crucial examination that ranks candidates seeking admission into various tertiary institutions across Nigeria and select foreign countries. This examination is held annually for individuals aspiring to further their education within the nation’s higher education system.
To be eligible to sit for the examination, candidates must complete the registration process in its entirety.
