The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a zonal structure to enhance its training programs, meetings, and operational efficiency. This strategic move, announced by the Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, during a virtual training session on Performance Management System (PMS) on July 1, 2024, aims to promote result-oriented operations.
Previously, staff were grouped into two zones (North and South) for large-scale events. However, the Board’s management has opted for a more effective approach, dividing the country into Lagos and Kaduna zones.
The Lagos zone comprises offices in the South-South, South-West, and South-East regions, excluding Port Harcourt and Benin, but including Kano and Abuja. The Kaduna zone covers offices in the North-central, North-west, and North-east regions, excluding Kano and Abuja, but including Port Harcourt and Benin.
This redistribution aims to eliminate geopolitical sentiments that have recently dominated national discussions, promoting a more unified and efficient approach to JAMB’s operations.
