In line with its policy of fair and efficient service delivery at all times, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has conducted a supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 28,835 candidates on Friday, 21st and Saturday, 22nd June, 2024.
It would be recalled that the Board had flagged some results for further investigation after the 2024 UTME on account of what it referred to as “substantial non-compliance with its standards in some centres” as well as candidates who failed the biometric screening and announced that a supplementary examination would be conducted in due course.
In the supplementary examination conducted over the weekend, 28,835 candidates sat the examination across the nation. While noting the successful conduct of the examination, the Board reaffirmed its determination to safeguard the sanctity of its examinations in line with global best practices, adding that it would continue to do the right thing regardless of the huge financial implications involved in conducting supplementary examinations and other similar exercises in line with its stated resolve not to allow unscrupulous candidates parade unmerited results acquired through dubious means.2024
