Former Manchester United star Paul Ince has advised Jadon Sancho not to rush a move to the club.
And it’s unsurprising they’re doing all they can to keep him given his stunning Bundesliga record last season.
Sancho managed 17 goals and 16 assists in another memorable campaign but the price quoted by Dortmund was too rich for the time being.
United are still keen on landing their top transfer target and it’s believed talks may still be ongoing between the player and the Red Devils.
“Remember, at Dortmund he’s playing every week and that’s what he wants,” he said.
“He’s still going to be scoring goals for Dortmund in the Champions League next season.
“There’s no rush for him. He can take his time and he’s still got lots to learn.
“Sancho can keep developing at Dortmund. He doesn’t want to return to the Premier League and regret it.”
Ince has also compared Sancho to another United legend, while advising the England international to choose his next transfer wisely, even though a Man United move is ‘obvious’.
“He’s been an absolute revelation and reminds me of Ryan Giggs in the way he gets bums off seats, Ince added.
“If he does come back to the UK it’s about picking the right manager and style of team for him.
“For a player like Sancho, he needs to keep testing himself.
“The football he’s used to and the way Dortmund currently play is very similar to Liverpool.
