“I’ve learnt a new lesson” – Portable admits as he is released on bail

Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable has broken his silence after he was granted bail by a magistrate court sitting in Ifo, Ifo local government area of Ogun State.

Recall that the Zazu singer landed in police custody on Friday, March 31, 2023, after an intense drama with police officers at his bar on Thursday.

He was subsequently arraigned in court this morning, April 3, on a three-count charge bordering on assault and theft of musical equipment.

Magistrate A.S. Shoneye ruled on a request for parole made by his attorney, stating that the crimes were bailable. The judge approved N300,000 in portable bond with two sureties in the same amount. The court decided that both sureties had to own property close to the court.

However, the judge decided that Portable should go to the Ilaro Correctional Center while his parole conditions are being satisfied.

The singer has perfected his bail condition and let out.

Speaking in an Instagram live he claimed God kept him in detention to protect him from evil and he has learnt real lessons.
