So, God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. -Genesis 1:27 (KJV)
This biblical injunction was firmly established at creation. It was made possible by God Himself. Well rooted and profound. It’s unambiguous.
But the devil in the Church of England would not let be. Theirs is bizarre audacity. Nothing short of eerie guts. You can’t but marvel at their daringness. And be baffled by their awkward nerve.
They are not only playing God. They also strive hard to upstage Him. And upturn everything He creates, represents and stands for. That’s profaneness!
You can’t comprehend it. That the Church of England is at the forefront of this unholy bravery. The church ignores every biblical ordinance. It opts for its own ungodly path.
It wants to mess things up for God. It attempts to undo what God has perfectly perfected. And He finished the work at the very beginning of life.
What God created was succinct precision. So it must remain from eternity to eternity. At every of His wonderful creation, God drew an outstanding conclusion. Sampler: Genesis 1:4; “And God saw the light, that it was good.”
What else do they want that God has not done? He graciously created us in His own image. And he was generous with His magnanimity. He put man in control of all creatures.
To populate the earth, God issued another command: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to unto his wife: and they shall become one flesh.” He laid the solid foundation for family.
God possesses unequalled foresight. He sees what man can never perceive. He sees far beyond tomorrow. He sees the whole life. He’s the Creator of heaven and earth. And everything in them. He holds all these in the hollow of His hand.
This is the God the Church of England is challenging. Its weapon is its evil same-sex marriage, aka: Gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, homosexual. And their sinful and vile cousins!
At creation, no mortal had control over his or her sex. And even now! Not one. The owner of life assigned us sexes as He wanted. He did it for a purpose clear only to Him alone.
You can’t contest neither can you protest that. Every human lacks capacity to do that. Why the rebellion now, Church of England? What’s the essence of your revolt against God?
Oh! Human rights my foot! Tell that to the marines, not God. If God didn’t create you, where will you derive your so-called rights? From emptiness, blankness?
The Church of Nigeria saw it rightly with good reason. And behaved accordingly. It would not allow the pestilence to go unchallenged.
It stood up to its parent body. Looked straight into its face. Without minced words called it a bluff.
Heavens did not fall and would not fall. Instead, heavens and the angels therein would rejoice.
The Church of Nigeria couldn’t hold back its fury: “The Church of England has derailed in faith. They have not only voted to approve same-sex marriage, but the Liturgy for the celebration of such rebellion against God.”
What abomination! What sacrilege! Desecration, profanity at their ugly heights. Help, there’s insurgency in the house of Anglicans. The Church needs redemption. It’s urgent; it is important.
Primate, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, was firm and assertive. He navigated a viable way out of the mess:
“The Church of Nigeria will stand and work with Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON), to uphold biblical orthodoxy and faithfulness in proclamation of the Gospel and maintaining our cherished Anglican heritage. On these, there is no turning back.”
His words of faith and encouragement in these precarious times: “God is still in control of the work of His hands. He has not abdicated His responsibility to humans. He is sovereign and rules in the affairs of men.”
Let this sink to the skulls of the proponents of same-sex marriage. Both in and out of the Church. And they are in legion. They keep increasing in embarrassing numbers.
Ndukuba charged the church: “We must maintain a firm faith that God is in complete control, even in the face of evil. Our faith provides comfort and assurance that God’s goodness will prevail, even when the world seems chaotic.
“Challenges and adversity are part of the fire of the furnace to burn off the chaff in our lives as believers. Adversity serves as God’s means for spiritual growth and maturity. It strengthens our faith, builds our character and draws us closer to God.”
This is the truth. It remains undisputable before, now and in the times to come. We didn’t ask for this in the beginning. They brought it to us. And forced it down our throats.
We were in our “jungle” living our peaceful lives. In our own happy ways. We were feasting on communality. The bedrock of our innocent existence then. It was the norm, our strength and value. Completely different from theirs.
We cherished it. It suited us to the marrow. It perfectly made us our brother’s keeper. Long before we knew the biblical story of Caine and Abel.
We didn’t go to them. They sought us out and came to us uninvited. They were fake explorers and deadly exploiters. They were looking for what to eat.
Their mission was never missionary-like. It was outright economic, from start-to-finish. And they found the desired green pastures in our rich “jungles.”
They were bewildered. It was beyond their weirdest expectations. They were confused, perplexed. They didn’t know how to approach us.
Promptly. They sent emissaries back home. With good news, of course. That they had discovered us: Including our lands, rivers, mountains, natural resources, et all.
To conquer us. They came back with carrot (Bible) and stick (gun). The missionaries held the Bible. The soldiers stuck to their guns.
As they preached the Gospel. The soldiers conquered our territories. With little or zero resistance. They turned our lands into colonies. And we were made strangers. Squatters in our own native lands
They were wicked in their dastard tactic. They were morally wrong in their crude method. In the process. They bastardised, degraded, defiled and debased our prosperous forests.
They made us poor to make themselves rich. The missionaries targeted our minds. They detested our ways of life. They rubbished our values that made us solid as a people.
They successfully poisoned our thoughts against the essence of our living. They made us look guilty and stupid in our own eyes. That we were fetish, devilish in culture. And that our tradition, culture had no place in the heart of God.
They read passages from the Bible to support their obnoxious, false claims. There was no way we could find out the truth. We dared not raise contest with them. The few brave ones who did were ridiculed. Some sent to eternal exile. Many of them died miserably in far away lands from theirs.
The creation by God was one of those early passages we were introduced to. It’s that very passage that they’re putting long knife into now.
Why? They profess human rights. They were not even clever by half. When they first brought the Bible, there were no human rights. They never existed then.
So? They took our lands. Plundered our resources. Looted our wealth. Carried them to their lands. And rechristened themselves, Great Britain! Wicked souls all!
We had no human rights when they led us into slavery for centuries. They said we were no humans then, but apes. And family of simian.
The reason they grabbed our lands and ruined them. They carried our sons and daughters, old and young, to foreign lands. There they laboured in vain and lost their identities.
They came to kill, steal and destroy. And they did just that. It was a mission accomplished. They have satisfied their weird urge. It’s now convenient and comfortable for them to change the narratives. They reached out to human rights. They are striving hard to undo the works God did in six days.
They chose to forget what they wanted to forget. It’s their choice. And opted to remember what they elected to remember. It’s also an option.
They forgot the word of God “is Yea and Amen.” It’s life and living. It’s not for nothing that He exalts His words above His name.
You just jump out of your bed bewildered. And you decide the best thing is to “wed” a man like you as “wife.” That’s brainwave of horror and absurdity. It’s from the pit of hell. That’s debasing. It’s a glaring sign of insanity.
The grave lesson of Sodom and Gomorrah is lost on them. God was clear on this: “Thou shall shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” Leviticus, 18:22, KJV.
When we were formless, empty and lifeless. God created us in His own very image. That’s great grace. We wouldn’t want to abuse that. We would want to glorify His name in return.
Yet, some still pick offence with God. Chastising Him for creating us the way created He us. These oddities will never end. The decision we did not make. The choice you never had input into.
That notwithstanding. He still created us by His grace. Then someone having a nightmare feels it’s appropriate to exercise his latter-day human rights. And the best way to do that is to insult the Creator Himself.
You subject His divine authority to dispute. That God erred, goofed, by giving you that sex. Against your consent. And without consulting you when you were formless. And floating in the air.
This has dire and severe consequences waiting for you. It’s divine. It’s not a course. You can’t escape it. Because you asked for it!
Perversion has overtaken the Church. It’s showing its monstrous face in its stride. But the Church of Nigeria stood up to be counted. It did it when it most mattered.
It disowned its parent body and its same-sex marriage, aka, LGBT. And wisely parted ways. It treated the bastard act as a pandemic. It wouldn’t touch it even with the longest spoon. It vowed. Its path will not meet with it. Or cross with the Church of England’s.
Church of Nigeria sees farther than its parent. They reason correctly. They will soon be tying aids to same-sex marriage. The church needs not bother. It shouldn’t be lured into evil by any means. Don’t cave into adversity.
You need not do that. You are encouraged. Be brave. Continue to damn the consequences. They can go to blazes if they so care. With all intents and purposes. Such aides and grants are potently and potentially evil and devilish.
Former USA President Barack Hussein Obama tried it on us. He used gay as bait to give us grants and aids. He failed woefully. He was disgraced with his GLBT bait.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan roundly rejected the grants. He didn’t need to think twice. And he had the solid backing of us all. And we continued with our lives unfettered, unrestrained ever since.
That was the reasonable thing to do. Obama licked his wounds till he left office. It was one huge setback for him. A regret of his life. Perhaps, that informed his vehement campaign against Jonathan in the 2015 elections.
We are glad the Church of Nigeria is treading that noble path with great caution. The earliest others play along with the Anglicans. The best for us all. The evil in same-sex marriage knows no bounds. It transcends religions, faiths, tribes, countries and continents. In fact, all circumstances and diversities.
That’s the danger on our fragile laps. Be warned. More temptations will come in that likeness and mould. Let’s resolve in our resolution. To remain steadfast. And faithful. Come rain. Come shine. Even thunder!
So, help us God!
