Insecurity: Matadi, Northwest Govs hold multilateral meeting to provide formidable strategies

Governors of Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara States and their counterpart from Maradi in the Niger Republic have held a multilateral security meeting in Katsina State to map out strategies on how to tackle the insecurity situation ravaging the zone.

The governors, who were present at the meeting included Katsina State Governor, Hon. Aminu Masari, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State and Chaibou Aboubacar of Maradi in the Niger Republic, while Bello Mohammed Matawalle and Atiku Bagudu of Zamfara and Kebbi were represented by their deputies.

Newspot gathered that the meeting was organized by Governor of the Maradi Region, Chaibou Aboubacar, to come up with formidable strategies that will put a stop to the teething security challenges in the region.

Governor Aminu Masari, on his part, said the state government is doing everything possible to tackle insecurity, especially at the community levels.

A communique is expected to be issued at the end of the meeting.
