Out of 12.2 million fresh Permanent Voters that registered at the closure of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) closure of its portal on 31 July 2022 , 8.7 million classified as youth came from the age of 18 to 34.
Age 35-49 are 2.4 million then followed by the elderly people 50-69 which is a little less than a Million. Age 70 and above are 27,000 people. In totality 70 percent is registered out of 12.2 million
The disclosure of this statistics came from INEC Deputy Director Management Info System Mrs Abimbola Oladunjoye while featuring as a guest on the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion’s Advent Cable Network Nigeria Television ACNNTV daily programme- Now Streaming.
Mrs Oladunjoye elaborating on the topic of the day: ” Aftermath Of The Continuous Voter’s Registration Exercise” said In totality 70 percent re- registered out of 12.2 million

She also added that; unlike the previous numbers recorded during the last registration in 2019, where the youths that registered were 51percent overall, this year’s record superseded the previous.
