Less than 12 days to the general election, the Independent National Electoral Commission has said that election will not hold in 240 polling units.

The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu stated this at a meeting with leaders of political parties on Monday that the 2023 General Elections might not hold in 240 polling units.

He said among other things thst insecurity and fuel situations might affect the body logistics preparations. Sudden attacks by unknown gunmen are worrisome. There are other areas in the North which Boko Haram has occupied.
