In a significant move towards bolstering national security, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has issued an immediate deployment order for 38 Commissioners of Police (CPs) across various State Commands and Police Formations. This strategic decision includes the posting of 9 CPs to key state commands, alongside 29 CPs designated to various police formations nationwide.
The newly appointed CPs for state commands include:
- CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba – Zamfara State
- CP Bretet Emmanuel Simon – Taraba State
- CP Christopher Ado Emmanuel- Yobe State
- CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin – Cross-River State
- CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman- Niger State
- CP Sani Omolori Aliyu – Bauchi State
- CP Bello Shehu- Katsina State
- CP Saka Adewale Ajao – Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
- CP Ojo Adekimi – Kwara State
This deployment is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at addressing the escalating security challenges faced by the nation.
