Some identities and photos of Nigerian soldiers allegedly ambushed at the waterways and killed in Delta State have emerged.
At least 16 military men of 181 Amphibious Batallion, in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State were murdered by community youths on Thursday.
The unfortunate incident occurred when the troops responded to a distress call after the communal crisis between the Okuama and Okoloba communities both in Delta State.
Some of the slain soldiers include Major Shafa, Major Obi, Captain Zakari, Lieutenant Colonel AH Ali.
Some other troops whose identities have not yet been revealed are among the soldiers.
Mercenaries and armed individuals from the neighborhood staged a surprise attack that caught the military off guard.
