Ahead the 2023 general election, the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo South Senatorial District of Ondo State have called on Nigerians to vote out the ruling All Progressive Congress in the election, saying the latter deserved no return to power .

The chieftains held a town hall meeting at the Igbokoda, the headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of the state, where they called on the people of the district to mobilise people to vote for the PDP.

Addressing the gathering of party members, the former deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, said he purposely resigned from his office when he could not put people of Ondo South out of bondage.

He said, “I purposely resigned my office as deputy governor when I discovered that I’m in captive under the guise of family government.”

While urging the people to vote for all candidates of the PDP candidates in the forthcoming general election, Ajayi, who is also the PDP senatorial candidate for Ondo South, said if he and Kolade Akinjo were elected as senate and Federal House of Representatives member respectively, there would be a speedy economic transformation of the people in the area.
