Michael Olise could be fit in time to feature in Crystal Palace’s clash against Manchester City, Oliver Glasner has revealed.

Palace host City at Selhurst Park in Saturday’s early kick-off in what is a huge clash at both ends of the Premier League table.

The Citizens are currently third with just three points separating themselves and title rivals Liverpool and Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are 14th and just eight points clear of the relegation zone following a 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

That result means Glasner has won just one of his first five games since replacing Roy Hodgson despite some good performances.

Palace’s crippling injury crisis has plagued them all season, with the likes of Olise, Marc Guehi, Cheick Doucoure and Chris Richards sidelined, with the latter out for two to three weeks with an injury picked up ahead of the Bournemouth trip.

But ahead of the City clash, the South Londoners have been given a huge boost, with Glasner revealing that talisman Olise might be back in time to feature in the match, but has warned it will only be for a little bit.

BBC 5 Live Sport report that Glasner says that the winger ‘should be fit enough to play a part against Man City. It’ll only be for 20mins and they need to be careful, but the player is desperate to get back.’

The 22-year-old has made just 11 Premier League appearances this season thanks to various hamstring injuries but has scored six and assisted three in that short period of time.

He hasn’t featured since the start of February after his injury reoccured after he was rushed back into action against Brighton.

His form has since the young French star linked with a big money move to Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool, with a release clause in his contract set to become active in the summer.

For now, Glasner’s sole focus is on improving his Palace team, saying after the Bornemouth loss: ‘If you don’t score a goal you can’t win. We had many good situations. You need to shoot. Maybe we have to improve, be more decisive in offensive positions.

“We didn’t score and one situation for Bournemouth decided the game. I would worry about it if we didn’t have the situations to score. We played really well in the second half but we have to be more direct and not passing and passing. Take the shots.

‘We’ve got Manchester City next. They come to Selhurst and it’s a game we won’t have a lot of possession. Maybe we will get three or four chances but we have to be efficient. If you are not efficient you can lose everywhere.’
