A gospel musician, Oluwaseun Akhigbe, has recalled how one of his songs allegedly saved a fan from depression.
Speaking about the impact his music has had on listeners, he told Sunday Scoop, “I have heard that someone was delivered from depression (after listening to my music). Someone also miraculously got pregnant after waiting for several years without a fruit of the womb.”
The singer also stated that he started the Worship Tribe initiative as a way of helping people praise God better. He said, “It is a hybrid worship concert held virtually and physically. The sole aim is to lead people into the presence of God. I believe in putting my best into whatever I do, to ensure success through divine favour.”
Asked why he decided to do gospel music, Akhigbe said, “It is like asking me why I choose God. I did not choose gospel music. Rather, God chose me and I grew up having interest in gospel music because of its versatility and the spiritual aspect of it. Having access to the presence of God is invaluable.”
Speaking on his latest project, Olori Ogun, the musician said, “The inspiration for the song came from the Holy Spirit. I am not really skilled at writing songs. I actually get the inspiration from God, and He is the one who teaches me how to minister them to people.”
