Heart-breaking footage from a CCTV camera has surfaced, capturing the tragic moment a Level 400 student, identified as Deedi, lost her life in a road accident.
The incident occurred while she and another individual were waiting by the roadside for a taxi or trotro. Sadly, both individuals lost their lives in the accident.
According to reports, she was going to town to fix her spoilt laptop when she met her untimely death.
Deedi was a final-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Rural Development.
The unfortunate accident has sent shockwaves through the university community, with many mourning the loss of a promising young woman on the brink of completing her academic journey.
The circumstances leading to the accident are still being pieced together, but the tragedy highlights the vulnerabilities pedestrians face daily on Ghana’s roads.
Ghanaians have called on the Road Safety authorities to check on faulty vehicles and prevent them from being used for commercial purposes.
