He then returned with a T8 at the Memorial and a solo sixth at the US Open before hitting a fresh purple patch with bronze at the Olympics and victory last weekend, shrugging off the theft of a bag while enjoying a meal in a London restaurant to celebrate his success in Paris.
He looks to be back to his best and can thrive this week at Castle Pines, which is just south of Denver, and he is attractive at 22/1 with multiple firms to be the first- round leader while it is also worth going each-way at 16/1 with BoyleSports for the 32-year-old from Japan to win back-to-back titles.
Victor Holland also turned heads on Sunday when he finished T2 with Schauffele and he can be backed at 20/1 with SpreadEx. Our final each-way bet is Ludvig Aberg at 25/1 with bet365.
Tommy Fleetwood was the best player at the St Jude’s from tee to green and one of the worst with the putter, and he is worth a dabble and 15/8 Ladbrokes, Coral and bet365 for a top-ten finish and at 11/8 with Sky Bet to be the top Englishman.
Meanwhile, Wyndham Clark can be followed e/w at 20/1 with William Hill, Betfred, Sky Bet and Bet Victor to be top American.
