Niger State Governor, Alh. Mohammed Umaru Bago, has described the crash of the Nigerian Air Force MI-171 Helicopter in Chukuba community in Shiroro local government area of the State as shocking and worrisome.
The governor made this known in a message of sympathy signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim.
He assured the Nigerian Air Force of his administration’s readiness to support it and other security agencies in the fight against banditry and other forms of crime in the state.
Bago also encouraged them not to relent in sustaining the fight against criminality.

The Nigerian Air Force MI-171 Helicopter was reported to have crashed around Chukuba village in Shiroro local government area of the state after it departed Zungeru Primary School en route Kaduna.
Efforts are said to be ongoing to rescue the crew and passengers on board the helicopter, while preliminary investigations are on to determine the likely cause of the crash.
