In a shocking revelation, Harwinder Singh, a 40-year-old man from Punjab, has shared his traumatic experience of being deported from the United States. Singh was among 104 Indian immigrants recently repatriated in a U.S. military aircraft, a C-17 Globemaster, which made several stops before landing in Amritsar, India.

Singh described the 40-hour journey as “worse than hell,” detailing how he and others were handcuffed and had their feet shackled throughout the flight. “We were not allowed to move an inch from our seats. After repeated requests, we were permitted to drag ourselves to the washroom, but only under strict surveillance,” he recounted. The conditions were so dire that the deportees struggled to eat, with security personnel denying their pleas to temporarily remove the handcuffs.

This incident sheds light on the harsh realities faced by those deemed “illegal” immigrants in the U.S., highlighting a need for compassion and reform in the immigration system. As the deportees return to their homeland, their stories serve as a stark reminder of the challenges surrounding immigration policies.
