Everyone who has passed through or exists or will later feature in this space at one time or the other is sure with, at least a responsibility to justify what he lives for.
Heroes are not just made or titles that come without an impact, the extent of contribution determines the relevance. Relevance has a relationship with purpose.
When people make efforts to affect people and society and live indelible marks in different areas of life, it is said such a personality lived an impactful life. Can there be a purpose without focus?
Focus is a total concentration on a goal earmarked or termed as the greater assignment.
In the course of living a meaningful life the best anyone can live for is to improve the quality of lives. There must be constant touch with the less privileged who can not fend for themselves. Those that really need help to live. So many people around us that we can better their lives even, with token and they will be up for significant changes.
On January 1, 1863, Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation that declared forever free those slaves within the Confederacy. Lincoln never let the world forget that the Civil War involved an even larger issue.
He successfully waged a political struggle and civil war that preserved the Union, ended slavery, and created the possibility of civil and social freedom for African-Americans.
This a great assignment he is remembered for.
The greater assignment could mean leaving your immediate environment to go miles away in order to cater for people. The United Nations most times needs volunteers to stem the rampage of epidemics and other economic issues, people are needed in all these interventions.
Another good example is the Blessed memory of Mother Theresa of Calcutta who lived primarily to cater for the less privileged.
There are many ways to achieve these. It may be direct or indirect. Some wealthy people do intervene by way of periodic monetary contributions to safe souls without having any undertone whether political or economic.
In an attempt to save and preserve the world, notable scientists have studied and came up with suggestions on how to shield our world from further damage because of the global climatic changes. In tackling this, many people, societies, Associations and bodies are working day and night to ameliorate this menace. All these are involved in assignment that is beyond ordinary and can be concluded a project of immense value .
Therefore, the encouragement is to find a way to turn things around for better changes.
