Mikel Arteta’s squad has been reinforced this summer after the signings of Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner.
The north Londoners are targeting more new recruits before the end of the transfer window, with Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko reportedly expected to join the club.
Arteta will be hoping his squad will be able to go one better than last season and qualify for the Champions League.
The Gunners narrowly missed out on a spot in the top four as Antonio Conte’s Tottenham pipped them to fourth place.
New striker Jesus got off to a fine start as he netted a brace during Arsenal’s pre-season friendly win over Nurnberg last weekend.
The Brazil international is a four-time Premier League winner with City, while midfielder Vieira won the Portuguese league title twice while at Porto.
Gunners midfielder Xhaka is glad to see players with experience of winning titles joining the squad.
‘Every player we signed that has had this experience [of winning trophies] are bringing something more than only games and wins, they are bringing the mentality of winning something,’ Xhaka told reporters.
‘This is what we need here.
‘They have to show it on the pitch as well.
‘Gabi [Jesus] knows the Premier League, I think he’s won nearly everything.
‘The most important thing is to bring players that have hunger as well, because you can win a lot of trophies but these guys want to win much more and with us.
‘This is what makes us very happy to have them.’
