Governor Umar Namadi mourns mother and son, calls for prayers

Governor Umar Namadi has expressed his acceptance of the recent loss of his mother and elder son, describing it as a divine test that every soul must undergo.

The Governor made the remarks at the Government House, Dutse, during a condolence visit by the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Abubakar Kyari, businessman, Aliko Dangote, Labour Party 2023 Presidential candidate Peter Obi and other dignitaries.

Speaking to the gathering, Governor Namadi said, “We accepted this as a test, and may Allah (SWT) give us the strength to pass the test.”

The visiting dignitaries described the loss as an irreplaceable tragedy and offered their heartfelt prayers for the deceased.

They prayed for Allah (SWT) to grant their souls eternal rest and for Aljanna Firdausi to be their final abode.

The Governor, who has continued to receive messages of sympathy from across the country, thanked the visitors for their support and prayers during this challenging time.

Newspot reported that the mother of the Governor Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, after a brief illness, and his son Abdulwahab Umar Namadi died in a car accident in Kafin Hausa.
