In a significant move to bolster governance in Ondo State, Governor Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has appointed Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). This announcement comes shortly after the Governor officially took office as the 7th democratically elected leader of the state on Monday.
Dr. Fasoranti, a respected figure from the Akure South local government area, previously served as the Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role.
Furthermore, the Governor has reappointed Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac as the Commissioner for Finance. These reappointments reflect the Governor’s commitment to continuity in effective governance.
In addition, several individuals have been reappointed as Special Advisers to the Governor, including:
- Engr. Johnson Alabi, Power
- Dr. Seun Osamaye, Women Affairs
- Comrade Bola Taiwo, Union Matters & Special Duties
- Prof. Simidele Odimayo, Health
Additionally, Engr. Abiola Olawoye, who served as the Senior Special Assistant on Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, has been elevated to the role of Special Adviser in the same area.
All appointments are effective immediately, with Governor Aiyedatiwa urging the new appointees to act swiftly in delivering effective and efficient services to the people of Ondo State.
This strategic reshuffle aims to enhance the state’s governance framework and ensure that the administration meets the needs of its citizens effectively.
