The governor of Osun State, Mr. Ademola Adeleke, has reportedly escaped being mobbed by hoodlums.
It was not immediately known whether the intention of the hoodlums suspected to be political thugs were out to harm the governor.
Reports unfolding at the Osogbo Eid praying ground, where the chaos erupted saw a group of hoodlums, allegedly led by some prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), took control of the section reserved for the governor.
The situation quickly escalated, resulting in an assault on Honorable Moruf Gangaria, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) representing Osogbo federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
It was at this stage Governor Adeleke and his entourage arrived at the venue amidst the ongoing commotion. However, upon their arrival, the governor was surrounded by the hostile group shouting unprinted words,security sensing security breach decided to drive the governor out of tbe prayer ground.
It is also reported that prominent PDP leaders in Osogbo were also subjected to molestation and physical assault during the unfortunate incident.

Despite the limited information available, it has been confirmed that Governor Adeleke managed to escape the scene unharmed.
