Gov Oyebanji promises improvement of NYSC infrastructure in Ekiti State

The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has restated his commitment to addressing the infrastructural deficiencies facing the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Orientation Camp in Ekiti State.

Addressing corps members during the 2024 Batch B Stream I swearing-in ceremony, Governor Oyebanji assured them of the government’s commitment to providing the necessary support to address these issues.

In his words: “We are committed to improving infrastructure and ensuring the effective functioning of the NYSC program in our state.”

Represented by the Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development, Adedayo Gold Adesola, the Governor warmly welcomed all corps members to Ekiti State and assured them of a safe and supportive environment while serving the nation.

Governor Oyebanji commended the hard work and determination of the corps members, reminding them of the foundational purpose of the NYSC scheme: to drive unity and development.

He urged the corps members to be proactive in countering unemployment, corruption, and poverty by becoming catalysts for positive change, assuring them of the state’s dedication to rewarding excellence.

Earlier, the State’s Coordinator, NYSC, EKITI State, Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu, noted that the high level of cooperation among corps members has contributed to the smooth administration of the camp.

Riko also assured Ekiti State indigenes that by the end of the three weeks in camp, the corps members would be well acquainted with the social, cultural, and economic settings of the state.

The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, represented by Justice Olatawura, was present to administer the oath of allegiance to the corps members deployed to the state
