Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, has said that the economic development of the state is a crucial aspect that demands the attention of all Tarabans.
To actualise this, the need for the indigenes of the state residing in other parts of the country and the globe at large, to come and contribute their quotas to the rapid growth of the state, he believed, has become necessary.
The governor, who made the observations over the weekend in a stakeholders’ engagement meeting, called on all indigenes of the state in diaspora to come and join forces with his administration to surmount the present economic and security quagmires confronting the state.
He noted that the support his administration wants from them is through initiatives that would encourage productivity, peaceful coexistence and economic prosperity.
“The economic development of Taraba State is a crucial aspect that demands our attention. Taraba holds immense potential, from its fertile land to its rich cultural potential.
“So, let us come together and invest in our economic growth through entrepreneurship, investment in key sectors and providing mentorship to the youth.
“By doing this, we would not only create opportunities for Tarabans but also contribute to the prosperity of our dear state,” said Kefas.
Lending his support to the governor, the Secretary of the Government of the State, SGS, Barrister Gebon T. Kataps, called on the indigenes of the state living across the globe not to hesitate to take advantage of the olive branches being extended to them by the governor.
