Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni, visited the acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on Wednesday.
This is contained in a statement signed by the governor’s media aide, Mamman Mohammed.
According to the statement, Governor Buni had a lengthy and fruitful discussion on areas of cooperation with the Nigeria Police to strengthen security across the state.
Buni reiterated the commitment of his administration to ensure the stability achieved in security in the state is not only sustained but improved.
“This is the number one priority of our administration, and we would spare no effort in achieving it to make Yobe State much safer for socio-economic development,” Buni said.
Acting IGP Egbetokun assured Governor Buni and the people of the state of the preparedness of the police force to safeguard the state and its people.
He commended Governor Buni for the visit and his zeal for the general security of the state.
