Ghana: COVID-19 cases surge, President Akufo-Addo remains in isolation

Coronavirus cases in Ghana has risen to 24,248.

On Saturday, 414 more infections were confirmed.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) provided the update.

The information said the health authorities had treated and discharged 619 more people.

Number of recovered cases are now 19,831, while 135 casualties.

Active cases in the country are 4,282.

President Nana Akufo-Addo spent his eighth day in self-isolation.

A close associate had tested positive for COVID-19.
