Kwara State Governor , Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Governor of Kwara State has directed a reduction in working days for civil servants in the state to three instead of the usual five days.
According to the state governor, Malam Abdulrazaq said the initiative was to reduce the effect and impact of the fuel subsidy removal that has increased the price of fuel by over 200%
A statement issued by the state head of service, Mrs. Susan Modupe Oluwole, and made available by the chief press secretary , Murtala Atoyebi.
The statement said this was a temporary palliative measure so as to bring succour to the workers.
The governor added that civil service authorities will release further guidance on the palliative measure, including how this affects health workers and other categories.
