As the people of Nigeria Await President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nationwide broadcast on October 1 2024 to mark 64th Independence day they are likely to wake up to hear that the prices of fuel have started to tumble -down.
The newspot reliably gathered that the oil marketers have struck a deal with Dangote Refinery. Dangote was said to have agreed to wave landing cost in the sale of fuel to the marketers.
The issue of building in the landing cost as it was with the imported ones had been the bone of contention that had led to fuel prices selling beyond N1000 per litre.
One of the marketers who wished to remain anonymous said: ” From October 1 prices of fuel will be sold below N1000 per litre. If things work well, before the end of October some fuel stations will be selling below N700 per litre.”.
