Earlier at the old Katsina Government House, Hajiya Dagani flagged off the distribution of palliatives donated by the Bank of Industry to flood victims in the state.

She disclosed at the ceremony that plans were underway by the state government to provide additional relief measures, such as cash assistance and building materials, to the victims by next week.

Dagani noted that the agency has submitted a comprehensive report to the state government, detailing the statistics of victims, damages, affected areas and casualties for further action.

She explained that emergency support groups, including the Jos-based Health and Development Support Programme (HANDS), are currently mobilizing to offer more assistance to the affected communities in Katsina.
