First Prelate of Methodist Sunday Mbang Is Dead

The immediate past Patriarch and first Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria, and a former President of the World Methodist Council, His Eminence, Dr. Sunday Coffie Mbang,is dead

He passed away early hours of , Tuesday 16th May, 2023, after a brief illness at the age of 85.

From Methodist newsletter states: “The Prelate Emeritus was a former National President, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Thank you, Papa, for your service to God who called you and the Church of God, which you devoted your life to till your last breath. The Church is forever grateful to you for your years of dedication and leadership. Sleep on Papa”
