The 18-year-old missed the Republic of Ireland’s Euro2024 qualifiers against France and the Netherlands after complaining of a knee issue before the international break.
While the injury was not a new one, Ferguson suffered a re-occurrence of an issue as he scored a hat-trick against Newcastle in a 3-1 home win 12 days ago.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Ferguson, who grew up supporting the Red Devils.
And it looks as though he’ll get his opportunity to impress them up close when the Seagulls travel to the Theatre of Dreams, with the Athletic saying he’s winning the race to be fit.
There’s further good news elsewhere for Brighton as former United striker Danny Welbeck has recovered from a muscle injury that saw him miss the win against Newcastle.
Welbeck left United in 2014 to join Arsenal, ending his 15-year association with the Red Devils.
Brighton are three points above United in the table, having taken nine points from their first 12.
