Eva Longoria is ‘dying’ to make a Desperate Housewives revival a reality.

The 46-year-old actress, who played Gabrielle Solis on the hit show from 2004 until the season eight finale in 2012, has always been open about wanting to make a return and now she’s insisted she’d be first in line.

She told Stellar Magazine: ‘You know, if there was a revival to happen, I would be the first to sign up.’

That will be music to the ears of fans around the world, particularly as she doubled down and described the show as a ‘gift’ – one she is extremely keen to revisit.

She added: ‘I’m dying to get back into Gabby’s skin. That was like the best time of my life. What a gift that show was to me.’

She appeared on the show with the likes of Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, Dana Delany and Nicollette Sheridan, and her most recent comments come after she hailed creator Marc Cherry and former cast mates.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain last month, she said: ‘I would love it. Let me tell you, I miss her every day. She’s so great.

‘I miss being in her skin and I would do a reunion in a heartbeat. I love that show, I love Marc Cherry the creator, I love the ladies and so yeah, sign me up!’

The cast had a mini-reunion last year without Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman as they got together virtually to raise funds amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Desperate Housewives followed the lives of the housewives of Wisteria Lane and the trials and tribulations they faced behind their perfect white-picket-fenced lives.

Eva had previously claimed she was ‘bullied’ on the set of the show in a letter supporting co-star Felicity through the college admissions scandal.

She wrote at the time: ‘There was a time I was being bullied at work by a co-worker. I dreaded the days I had to work with that person because it was pure torture. Until one day, Felicity told the bully, “enough” and it all stopped.’

Desperate Housewives is available to stream on Disney+.
