It is yet to be confirmed whether the Norwegian striker will take the club up on their offer following the death of Ivar Eggja.
Haaland was in training on Thursday and could still decide to play in the 3pm kick-off on Saturday.
Eggja was the best man at Erling’s father Alfie’s wedding and the Manchester City striker referred to him as ‘uncle’.
Haaland wrote on Instagram after the news of the tragic death at just 59 years old: ‘You are a legend, Ivar.
‘Words cannot describe how much you meant to me! Words cannot describe how much you will be missed!
‘Thank you for everything, you madman. We will see each other again. Rest in peace, Ivar.’
Manchester City have won their first three games of the Premier League season and already sit top of the table as they look to win a fifth title on the spin.
Haaland has been typically prolific so far, scoring seven goals in those three games, including back-to-back hat-tricks.
He then scored Norway’s winner against Austria on Monday night when the home side picked up a 2-1 victory in Oslo.
