Erik ten Hag has confirmed Manchester United will exercise their option to extend the contracts of Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot.

Rashford and Dalot have both enjoyed impressive campaigns under ten Hag but are poised to enter the final six months of their respective deals at Old Trafford.

Paris Saint-Germain are long-time admirers of the England international with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi revealing last week they will attempt to sign the forward on a free transfer next year.

Rashford will be free to negotiate with foreign clubs as of January with Al-Khelaifi suggesting the French giants will open talks with the United star in the New Year.

Dalot meanwhile has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

Ten Hag however has no concerns of the duo’s future, insisting United will exercise the option to extend their contracts to 2024 with new deals also being discussed.

‘We are talking to them to extend contracts, but we have control because we have an option on all the players and we will exercise those options,’ ten Hag said.

PSG held talks with Rashford’s representatives during the summer with the French champions still eager to bring the 25-year-old to Paris.

‘Again, he is another player that is really amazing and for free, to have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely,’ Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports, confirming PSG’s previous attempts to sign the United star.

‘Definitely, there is no hiding it, we spoke before on the interest but the moment was not a good moment for both sides.

‘Maybe, summer why not? But today if he is a free agent we can talk to him directly but we are not going to talk to him now.

‘Let him focus on the World Cup and after hopefully in January we will talk to him.’

Responding to PSG’s interest in the summer, Rashford reiterated his desire to stay in Manchester and play for his boyhood club.

‘[I’m] 100 percent [committed]. For me that’s a non-negotiable,’ Rashford told Sky Sports in August.

‘The one thing that remains the same is your dedication and your commitment to training and the games. I feel like whatever the situation is I have to give 100 percent for myself, family, friends and the fans.

‘For me, I have always wanted to be at Manchester United for as long as possible and be competing for trophies at the club. Hopefully we can get back to doing that and it’s something that I’m definitely pushing to do.’
