Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has identified the area in which his team needs to improve this upcoming 2023–24 Premier League season.
The new Premier League season will kick off on Friday, with Manchester City facing Burnley.
However, Varane wants the Red Devils to work on their consistency to raise their level of performance this season after finishing in third place on the Premier League table last season.
“We need to be 100 per cent fit for this season,” Varane told MUTV. “We have been working on the details. Tactically, we want to be ready. We want to work as a team, as a squad.”
The Frenchman added: “We have to be more consistent this season. We have to repeat the good performance every three days. So there are a lot of details.”
“We are working on it, and hopefully we can do better this season, and we want to improve all the time. So it is always a challenge for us to be better.”
Varane joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021.
