Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, will look to sell Harry Maguire next summer as he continues to rebuild the squad.
According to The Guardian, United will consider offers for their captain, in a bid to fund an overhaul.
However, they may have to accept a big loss on the £80million transfer fee they paid for Maguire in August 2019.
Maguire will head to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after United’s game with Fulham on Sunday.
The 29-year-old is expected to be first choice for Gareth Southgate as England face Iran in their opening fixture on November 21. However, it’s a position he hasn’t been in for his club this season.
The defender has only started one match for Ten Hag since being in the line-up for the 2-1 defeat to Brighton on the opening weekend of the season and United’s 4-0 humiliation to Brentford in August.
Ten Hag is said to admire Maguire’s professionalism, but is not impressed by his lack of pace and is looking for more competition in that position.
